A Coatings Manufacturer That Thinks ‘Outside of the Box’

Seventy-Five Years Formulating Specialty Products

With chemistry that was well beyond its time, Perma, Inc has always been a very different sort of cleaners and coatings manufacturer. While other manufacturers were still attempting to ‘burn‘ wax off of floors with ammoniated strippers, Perma was already producing acrylic coatings and finish emulsifiers…

And as others were still insisting upon covering odors with strong and sticky fragrances, Perma was focused upon consuming organic molecules and focused upon ionic bonding of odorous VOC’s to the floor where they would be safely out of the airstream. While this site is not exhaustive of their capabilities, it will still present their 21st unique proposition.

Increasing Slip Co-efficiency: Reducing Slip & Fallen Accidents

Not maintaining proper slip co-efficiency on floor surfaces poses a significant risk of slip and fall accidents. Without adequate slip resistance, individuals are more likely to lose their footing and fall, resulting in injuries. These accidents can lead to various consequences such as fractures, sprains, head injuries, and in severe cases, permanent disabilities or even death. The cost of slip and fall accidents is substantial. Firstly, there is the personal cost for the individual who suffers from injuries, including medical expenses, rehabilitation, and potential loss of wages due to inability to work. Additionally, employers or property owners may face legal liabilities, employee downtime, and increased insurance premiums. Moreover, slip and fall accidents can harm a company’s reputation, leading to a loss of customers or clients. The overall economic impact of such accidents is significant, making it crucial to maintain proper slip co-efficiency on floor surfaces.

For more than 40 years, Perma has produced a comprehensive assortment of products to improve slip co-efficiency, available both in our own brand or yours. Visit our Anti-Slip Floor Care Program page to learn more.

Static Dissipating Products: Pivotal to Anti-Static Protection

A work environment where static control products are absolutely necessary is typically found in industries such as electronics manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, cleanrooms, and laboratories. These environments involve the handling of sensitive electronic devices, components, and materials that can easily be damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD).

Static control products are essential in these environments to prevent the build-up and discharge of static electricity, which can have detrimental effects. If proper protection is not maintained, the risks associated with static electricity include: equipment damage, data loss, fire and even explosion.

For more than 40 years, Perma has produced a comprehensive assortment of products to dissipate static charges, available both in our own brand or yours. Visit our Anti-Static Surface Care Program page to learn more.

Durability, Protection & Aesthetics: Epoxy over Concrete

The unsealed concrete floor in your commercial, industrial or manufacturing facility are costing you countless hours in cleaning, maintenance and reduced attendance. We will demonstrate this more fully later in this site. Suffice it to say that, choosing to apply epoxy over an unsealed concrete floor offers numerous benefits, including durability, protection, safety, easier maintenance, improved aesthetics, brighter spaces, and minimal impact on operations.

There was a time when 100% epoxy coatings were ‘all the rage‘ and a burgeoning contracting industry appeared. These thick, poorly-adhesive coatings sat above the concrete like a floating time-bomb, just awaiting the opportunity brought on by heavy forklifts and pallet jacks to create blisters and cracks that could never be repaired in-house.

For more than 40 years, Perma has produced acrylic-epoxy systems of finishes that can be applied by any maintenance team, and are available both in our own brand or yours. Visit the Concrete Finish page to learn more.

Paste Wax Products: The Applications are Endless

Our paste waxes have been disseminated into more industries than we can count. The stories from private labelers have been exciting.

Of course there has been the traditional applications on high-end, hand-built chairs in New England and elsewhere around the world, and the use of our liquid carnauba wax on ballroom floors. Likewise our paste waxes are commonly used for fiberglass, acrylic, ceramic and metal mold release agents, and to lubricate and reduce friction in the metal stamping industry.

But what we were pleasantly surprised to also discover is how our paste wax is employed to enhance the safety in production of guided missiles, protect metal work surfaces from oxidation and reduce drag.

For more than 60 years, Perma has produced a proprietary line of natural paste and liquid waxes, available both in our own brand or yours. Visit our Paste Wax page to learn more.
